What does it mean to be an American? What symbols and stories do we have in common?  What role do they play in making us into a community?  Find out through this program by the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site.  Students will engage in a visual presentation describing the TR Inaugural Site, an important part of our community’s history, and learn about the nature of community, citizenship, and the importance of unifying symbols and stories in forging a national identity.  Students also engage in a hands-on skill building activity to enhance learning.  The program is designed to link to third grade New York State standards.
