Tiffany Vanderwerf received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University. During her time in graduate school in Psychology at the University at Buffalo, she had the opportunity to find her second passion, teaching. Tiffany has spent more than 15 years at the Buffalo Zoo in various educational capacities. The past 13 of those has been as Curator of Education. This position has allowed her to gain a wealth of experience in strategic planning, exhibit development, grant funding, finance, and all other things administrative while still allowing the opportunity to develop and implement environmental education programming. Tiffany is an adjunct instructor at the University at Buffalo where she teaches an in the Interdisciplinary Degree Program in Environmental Science. She serves as a mentor in UB’s extensive Mentor Network. She is an active member of the Museum Education Consortium of Buffalo and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
